Privacy Policy for MyTennisGame
Last updated: 21 October 2026
MyTennisGame is a tennis score and statistics tracker for Apple Watch and iPhone. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: MyTennisGame collects nothing. It has no servers, no accounts and no analytics, and nothing you record in it is sent to the developer. If you use iCloud, a copy of your matches is kept in your own iCloud account, where only you can reach it.
Information MyTennisGame does not collect
MyTennisGame does not collect, sell or share any personal information. Specifically, it does not:
- require an account, sign-in or email address
- contain any analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting service
- include any third-party software development kits
- send anything to a server run by the developer — its only network traffic is to your own iCloud account, through Apple's CloudKit
- access your contacts, calendar, microphone, camera or location
Information MyTennisGame stores on your devices
The app keeps the following in its own storage on your Apple Watch and iPhone, and a copy in your iCloud account (see below):
- Match data. The players' names, the format, the score and every point you log, including when each point was played. Matches you tag as tournament matches also store the tournament name, and any notes you type are stored with the match.
- Your name. The display name you set in Settings, so matches read as yours rather than "You".
This information is visible only to you. Deleting a match in the app removes it from your iPhone and from iCloud, and asks your Apple Watch to remove its copy. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your devices.
Apple Health
If you allow it, the MyTennisGame watch app records each match as a tennis workout in Apple Health, and reads your heart rate and active energy while a match is in progress so the workout is complete.
This data is handled entirely by Apple Health on your own device. MyTennisGame does not copy it, store it outside Health, or transmit it anywhere. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in the Health app or in Settings, and matches can be scored normally without it.
Photos
When you choose Save Image for a match share card, MyTennisGame asks for permission to add that one image to your photo library. It cannot read, browse or modify your existing photos.
How your Apple Watch and iPhone exchange matches
Matches travel from your Apple Watch to your iPhone using Apple's Watch Connectivity framework, which sends data directly between your two paired devices. It does not pass through any server run by the developer.
iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, the MyTennisGame iPhone app keeps a copy of your matches and your name in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account, so they come back when you reinstall the app or set up a new iPhone. This happens automatically, uses Apple's CloudKit, and counts towards your iCloud storage. The developer cannot see or access this data; it is stored and protected by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Heart rate and other Apple Health data are never included.
To stop it, turn off iCloud for MyTennisGame in the iCloud section of Settings; your matches then stay only on your devices. To delete the copy in iCloud, open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, manage your storage, choose MyTennisGame and delete its data. This also removes the matches from your iPhone.
Sharing a match yourself
The share card is created on your device and goes nowhere until you send it. If you share one through Messages, a social app or any other destination, that destination's own privacy policy applies to what you sent.
Backups
Because match data is stored in the app's own folder, it is included in your device backup if you back your devices up to iCloud or to a computer. Those backups are controlled by you and governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by MyTennisGame.
Children
MyTennisGame is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Your rights under the GDPR
MyTennisGame is developed in Romania, in the European Union. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation, Dan Ilies is the data controller. Because the app collects and receives no personal data, there is nothing held about you to access, correct, export or erase.
Everything the app creates stays on your own devices and in your own iCloud account, and remains under your control: you can read it in the app, delete individual matches (which also removes them from iCloud), delete MyTennisGame's iCloud data in Settings as described above, or remove everything on your devices by deleting the app. If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Romania, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy will be updated here and the date at the top will change.
